The sat nav seems to be unable to locate any satellites and is showing the cars location approx 100 miles from home. I have gone into the nav settings and checked the reception of the satellites, and it constantly is showing 0 available.

I have a 2012 Sportage SatNav 2.0 AWD Diesel and the windscreen (s) washer pump appears to have failed. As a summary, I have the following problems ever since: - car goes into limp mode (6-7 times) - check engine light turned on twice (P1186, second code to be read tomorrow), - difficult engine start (not always) Can someone “guess” where the problem might be considering the changes they made and the problems? Get 25 mpg start and stop every 200 meters. Going to town on a longer stretch 30mph roads i can get 35 mpg easy. Issues: doors started grinding, rear seats as well. Sorted with lubricant spray

From the symptom you describe it sounds like you just have a starter that is intermittantly working. If at the time the mechanic is checking the vehicle and it is starting for him, it would be difficult to verify if the starter is the problem. But likely that is what is going on is the starter needs replacing. Answered by Honest John. Every diesel from January 2011 has a DPF and most from the years before that also do. Repeated short runs from cold starts, especially in winter, are bad for a DPF. But so far only heard of one problem with them in KIA/Hyundai 1.6CRDIs.
