Nikon Z7, Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4 S @30mm, 1/2000sec at f/4 ISO 64. Sharpness at 30mm isn’t terrible, but users can expect a perceptible drop in sharpness when it’s used wide open at the long end. If your shooting situation doesn’t demand that you shoot wide-open, it’s well worth stopping the lens down to f/5.6 to locate its sweet spot. With the 14-30 you get to 30mm rather than just 24mm with the 14-24 which gives it a good overlap with say a 24-70 f4S or 24-70 f2.8S. The 14-24 gets f2.8 whereas the 14-30 is "only" f4. With landscapes this may not be such a benefit unless you need to do starscapes. The 14-24 is definitely better at the corners and mostly better at the edges NiSi Lens Hood for Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f2.8S | Replacement for Nikon HB-97 Camera Lens Hood | Flower-Shape Design, 112mm Filter Thread, No Light Leakage | Long-Exposure and Landscape Photography. 44. $6900. The Nikon Z lens range continues to expand and here we have another offering in the high-quality S-Line, the 20mm f/1.8 S. This is a dramatic wide-angle, capable of some unique The Z 28mm f2.8 is 71 x 44mm with no lens hood to attach. The Z 24mm f1.8 S is much bigger at 78 x 97mm + 34 mm lens hood, the Z 24-50mm f4-6.3 is 73 x 51mm in its collapsed state w/o lens hood and extends to 75mm operating length. So the new 26mm Z-Nikkor is indeed the shortest full-frame lens with autofocus to use on a Nikon Z camera to date. 3. In my experience, the Sigma is the best ultra wide zoom for F mount, far better than the Nikon F-mount 14-24. The Z-mount 14-24 2.8 is easily on par with the Sigma, maybe even better, but much smaller, native mount, and more easily takes filters, only its a lot more money

Viltrox has produced 13mm, 23mm, 33mm, and 56mm lenses, all f/1.4, which provide low light usability and are still appropriately DX sized, though a little on the heavy side due to their all-metal construction. We still need 16mm and 18mm choices, and then we'd have a near complete set of primes to choose from. If you haven't figured it out yet

14-24 F is an excellent lens on D700, still shines on D850, but not as sharp as the Canon 11-24 f4. Knew quite a few eventually mounted 11-24 on a Sony to satisfy the clients. So far the samples of 14-24 S f4 seemed quite promising, except its 82mm filter size, good for CPL and ND users, bad for optimal edge performance vs the future 14-24 S f2 qETRlH.
