A friend just made a new PC and with a fresh install (Windows 10 pro 64 bit). He has a HTC Vive. System is intel i7 9700 / 16Go ddr4 / RTX 2070 Windows and Nvidia drivers up to date. All the normal VR games works fine but we cannot get any of the "flat screen games" with a VR launching option to work. A full uninstall and reinstall fixed it for me. I just read a guide on Google and it worked for me without issues. There's a couple extra steps, like uncheck VR theatre in Steam etc. Works for me with VD when using -openvr as steam launch option.
Have you already used steamvr with the reverb? Provided you've done that then right-click on euro truck simulator 2, select properties, beta tab and then opt into "oculus - Oculus/Vive - 1.39 - (SDK 1.4.0)" Then, when you start ETS2 it should start streamvr and the game should appear in the headset. Hard to get it right with the Quest 2 but functionally it works okay. As for experiencing it, you'll have to buy the game first. The VR is only in a beta branch which isn't accessible in the demo. You can always refund the game within 2 hours and 2 weeks. #3. Euro Truck Simulator 2. Extreme VR problems. I just bougt me an Oculus Rift. Downloaded SteamVR, added -oculus as the command line parameter and unchecked "Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active". Now I have extreme problems with the game. Most of the time the game music plays but i have a blackscreen on my desktop and my Rift.
