That said, you still need to rebind the buttons, you get no vibration, analog triggers and proper button prompts. If you don't mind waiting a bit yet, check out GInput

I've fixed it.. Go to steam library, steamapps, common, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and find gta-sa.exe file. Click right mouse button a click on Properties, click on Compatibility and set it to launch in compatibility for Windows XP (service pack 3). Click on Apply and it's done! Enjoy..
I downloaded pinnacle and tried to use one gta san andreas profile. When I hit play it said playing gta san andreas, then I went to steam and clicked play. It still wouldn't work correctly, my left trigger (xbox360 controller) was assigned where the A button should have been. Any help?Open the following directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Right-click gta-sa.exe and click Properties. Open the Compatibility tab. Set Run this program in compatibility mode for to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and click Apply. Try saving the game again.
Ok so I have GTA San Andreas installed from Steam, did not play it for a while since there was no option for 1080p display setting and I tried to use a converter to "downgrade" to an older version but it did not start. Ok so I started it with the original .exe and there was a 1080p resolution option now, nice! WY3USlR.
