I believe drivers of modern diesel engines do need to ensure they do fairly regular decent motorway or dual carriageway runs to allow regens to take place. I am having issues with my touran doing a full regeneration and completing and then 30/40 miles later needing to regen again. It even happens on the motorway straight after a regen finishes another starts. So an update, I have today monitored with Vagcom and soot mass Cal gets up to 6.40g and then goes to 24.40 instantly.
